Pull up a stool at Elks Lodge #1248 and you'll understand why travelers who make a point of hitting every lodge on the road call this one a highlight. The building itself earns compliments the moment you walk through the door, a grand old structure on West Michigan Avenue that carries the kind of weight only decades of community service can give a place.

The members here have a reputation for making strangers feel like regulars. Visiting Elks on bus trips, out-of-towners in town for a wedding, newcomers just passing through Three Rivers, they all get the same treatment: a genuine welcome, a good drink, and conversation that doesn't feel forced. That's not an accident. It's what BPOE membership looks like when a lodge actually lives its values.

Rated 4.7 out of 5 across 44 reviews, Lodge #1248 punches above its weight for a mid-size Michigan town. And if you happen to arrive hungry, the Oriental restaurant right next door is worth every bit of the detour.

What We Offer

Lodge #1248 offers the full range of Elks programming, from a members-only bar and lounge where the atmosphere is relaxed and the prices are honest, to meeting rooms that host everything from lodge business to community fundraisers. The social calendar runs year-round with events that give members reasons to show up beyond just the monthly meeting.

For traveling Elks, this lodge operates as a proper home away from home. Present your membership card, and you're in. For prospective members, the path to joining starts with a conversation, and the people here make that conversation easy.

Community giving is central to the Elks mission nationally, and Three Rivers Lodge #1248 carries that forward locally through scholarships, youth programs, and veterans support initiatives. Whether you're a longtime Elk, newly initiated, or just curious about what the antlers above the door mean, the address is 603 W Michigan Ave and the welcome is real.

"Right next door is, The oriental. Some of the best food I've ever had if not the best orange chicken in a 40 mile radius literally cooked to perfection. If you're in the area or new to the area or just wanting some of the best orange chicken there is then, The Oriental is worth the drive that's to the Harold and Kumar fans out there."

Flag Day.

Long before it was a national observance, the Order set aside June 14th to honor the flag. Patriotism has always been one of our cardinal principles, and every lodge meeting still closes the same way it has for over a century.
